Adriana Yanez de Velez is the owner of Cassiel’s Hair Salon, a mainstay on Columbia Pike. Her mother, Eva, started the business in 1998 as an immigrant from Bolivia. Adriana runs this multi-generation salon along with her mother. The salon's vibrant ambiance is accentuated by a striking pink back wall and the presence of lush, cascading ferns and plants that are available for purchase. The business name pays homage to the family's first-generation American-born member, Adriana's niece.

With a staff consisting of individuals from Bolivia, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, and El Salvador, Cassiel’s Hair Salon embodies a diverse environment.
