Lincoln Cleaners
Grace Park, Owner
Lincoln Cleaners is nestled among high rise apartments in the urban village of Ballston. Owner Grace Park says this is perfect for local tenants who frequent her business. Ballston, with its own Metro station, numerous Metrobus and ART bus routes and walkability, has convinced Grace she has chosen a great location to capitalize on through-traffic that doesn’t require driving.
Grace, a former chemical laboratory worker, took over Lincoln Cleaners in June 2024. However, this isn't her first venture into the dry-cleaning industry, as she and her husband also own another dry-cleaning store in Pentagon. While the Pentagon store primarily handles military uniforms, the Ballston location
specializes in men's suits and dress shirts. However, they've recently seen an uptick in women's workwear.
She manages Lincoln Cleaners with one employee. It’s a very open unassuming space with a high ceiling to accommodate the remote-control conveyor rack of dry-cleaned goods. On a layout table is a black sweater where a seamstress handles alteration requests, which make up 15% of the work. You may be surprised to learn Lincoln Cleaners offers garment storage and can launder/dry clean items such as wedding gowns and bed comforters. During wedding season, Graces sees an uptick in tuxedos and gowns. For walk-in customers who bring their own garment bag, she will repack in the same bag to be more environmentally friendly.
The urban village design of the Ballston area makes it a breeze to get to Lincoln Cleaners. Walk, bike, take the Metrobus or ART —whatever is easiest for you. Just make sure to bring your dry cleaning!
